Dear
Wilkins families and friends,
What
another wonderful week we have had in the room. This week in the Wilkins room
we have been focusing on the weather.
The
children really enjoy listening to the rain falling on the roof of our
classroom and watching it fill our outdoor area up.
We
have been busy making cloud prints on the windows with cotton balls and blue
collage materials and also making puffy paint clouds.
We
love using the puffy paint. We make a batter using self- raising flour and salt
and put it into a squeeze bottle before making our creations. We then place it
in the microwave to create the clouds.
We
have also been enjoying some of the new stories we received at our Grandies
day! Our favorites include Stuck in the Muck and We’re Going on a Bear Hunt.
We
even have our own mud pit that our animals keep getting stuck in. Lucky we are
able to rescue them all!
Miss
Ellen is lucky enough to be taking a nice holiday to Greece. Miss Ellen will
leave on the 7th of July and will be away for six weeks. During this time Miss Kim will
be working as well as some familiar relief staff. We hope Miss Ellen has an
amazing time and we can’t wait to see some photo’s.
If
you have any spare undies, jumpers or pants that belong to the ELC can you
please return them ASAP as we are running low in our spares cupboard.
Can
you also please ensure you are packing a labelled spare change of your clothes
for your child in case of any accidents or messy/wet play!
Enjoy
your weekend,
Jess,
Kim, Nicole, Ellen and Georgia
