Dear Cooper Room families and friends,
During the week we celebrated Alexander and Will A’s 4th
Birthday. Thank you for the delicious cupcakes!
We had Erin from Dancify come in to the centre to teach the
children a dance routine from the sound track The Lion King. It was wonderful
to see the children get involved and enjoy the dance routine.
We have been further extending our ‘Solar System’ interest by
reading information books, solving large floor puzzles and setting up a space
dramatic corner in the classroom. I decided to quiz the children to see how
much information they have absorbed over the past week….
Miss C: What is the moon made up of?
Hamish: Rock
Miss C: Which planet is the moon
close to?
Rory: Earth
Miss C: Why does the moon shine
bright?
Henry: Because its night time
Lewis: The Sun
Miss C: At night the moon looks
like its shining but in fact the light comes from the sun. The moon acts like a
mirror reflecting sunlight onto Earth.
Charlie
O: The
sun brights the moon
We wish you a happy and safe weekend. See you all next week.
Miss C and Miss Gilbert
