This week the Langley room welcomed a very special guest -
Jerry the snake!! Jerry is a Murray Darling Python and is Miss Georgia's
pet snake. The children have been fixated on watching him as he slithers
and slides inside his tank. Sometimes Jerry hides under his rock, other
times he likes to curl up and wrap around his log. Children have loved doing
observational drawings of Jerry on chalk boards as they watch him,
also touching Jerry when Miss Georgia gets him out of his tank.
Riani - "It's just Jerry. Ssss, sssss. Oh no,
here's Jerry. Look Jerry."
Alannah - "There he is. He's got long legs, no he's
got a long tail. Go back in the rock."
Charliese - "Terry (Jerry) snake. He eats that (pointing to
the bark). Look through, he go in there."
Kaeshav - "It's a snake, he goes round and round. a very long
snake."
Mack - "Dere's bridge. He hiding in dere (there)."
Carrying on with our investigation into weather, we've created a
group sensory grey rain cloud. We've also enjoyed working our colour
recognition by exploring rainbows and our fine motor skills with the pegs
boards.
Have a great long weekend
