Chapple Families
Stories continue to be a wonderful avenue into early
literacy and creativity for the children. They also give us opportunities to
role play and practice our social skills.
The Rainbow Fish was a great hit and
we made a huge rainbow fish for our classroom. We also used it to think
about being nice to other people and sharing. The children had great fun being
the fish and practicing asking with “Please” and “Thank you.”
Dancify came again and we once again had great fun dancing
to the music.
It has been great to hear about children making connection
to their learning at home, please continue to share your stories with us. It
was great to see William bring in a painting of signs he had seen in a walk
around his neighborhood.
The story “Max” taught us about friendship and the children
made great connections to their work on signs.
Max: ( a seagull) had to find his friend Bob who owned a fish
and chip shop.
Kian: Maybe he couldn’t spot the building.
Benji: Maybe he has binoculars.
Maxime: Maybe he can see the sign, it’s a chip on top of the
shop.
William: Maybe he can smell the chips, that would be a sign.
