Langley

Langley Families

This week the Langley children have continued to observe Jerry the snake in his tank. We have discussed with the children that we are allowed to touch Jerry as he is a pet snake - we do not touch snakes if they are outside. It has given the children a greater understanding of the world around them. The Langley class have absolutely loved having Jerry in the room and are going to miss him when he goes home next week!

We have also introduced some Indigenous musical instruments to the children - a rain stick, maraca, tribal drum and shakers. We have enjoyed dancing along to music as we use these new resources and read some Indigenous stories at group time. At morning meeting we have been practicing saying, "ninna marni" which means hello in Kaurna.

Miss Sarah will be doing parent/teacher interviews on Tuesday 28th and Wednesday 29th of June. Please book a time if you would like to have a more formal talk about your child's development.

Stay warm, kind regards

Brooke, Renee, Emily and Sarah
