Mead

Hello!

We have had a brilliant week in the Mead Room this week. The sun was shining, birds singing, the watercourse was turned on and then….. mud, mud, glorious mud!! We created amazing dinner parties in the Mud Kitchen – utilising…. you guessed it.. Mud!
And we relished in its sensorial qualities;

Hannah – squishy
Abi – sloppy
Charlie B – cold between my toes!

The watercourse created amazing opportunities for the children to collaborate and solve the tricky dilemma of how to get the bubbling water into their buckets. It was fine when we were just holding small buckets but the bigger ones were too heavy – it turned out we had some bamboo pipes that proved to be fantastic conduits. Terrific thinking and problem solving going on in our outdoor environment.

We have begun talking about when we were a baby and how we have changed.

Spencer – I had gums
Addison – I can walk, run and walk properly now
James – Babies cry, Thomas was a baby. Mummy rocked me, now I’m a big boy.

And a big Happy Birthday to Wilbur who turned 4 this week!!

Have a great weekend.
