Chapple

Dear Chapple

What a week for visitors! Mr Thorpe is with us for four weeks as a Pre Service teacher. We started the week by saying goodbye to our last Monarch butterfly who we released into the garden. Then the eggs arrived and we have “eggcitedly” waited for them to hatch. They have taken a bit longer to hatch than we thought. Maybe they are waiting for Mrs Shakespear to come back or maybe they are dragon’s eggs! The children have made mummy and daddy dragons heads just in case, so the baby dragons won’t be frightened if they hatch.

We also had a visit from Ned’s dog for show and tell.

The Barossa Light Infantry set up camp on the top oval and we went to see them. It was lovely to see the horses and it made the children laugh when one sneezed.

And then like magic, amazingly seven chicks hatched on Thursday.

Don’t forget Princesses Tea Party on Thursday at 8.30am
