Dear families,
Our investigations this week have predominantly revolved
around celebrations and colour. With Christmas nearing, and nativity rehearsals
taking place, we are busy learning songs and sharing how our families
celebrate.
At the story table the children are enjoying retelling their
version of the Christmas Story using props. Some children in our room who
celebrate Diwali have shared with us what Diwali is, and how it is
celebrated. The children watched some videos about Diwali to further their understandings
and the children made comparisons to Christmas. As Diwali is the
'Festival of Light' the children have painted some stunning fireworks paintings
at the easels. Varish's mother, Anusha, kindly came in to further share
about Diwali and the children enjoyed making patterns with s.
