Dear
Cooper Families,
We have had a busy week preparing for our Nativity performance. I am sure most of you would have had a mini performance at home of our song “When Santa got stuck up the chimney”. The children are all really excited about the Nativity performance and with a little more practice, we will know all the words and actions to our song. We had our first big rehearsal with all of the children in the ELC on Thursday morning, which went really well.
We
have recently introduced clay into our Cooper classroom. At first the children
were a little unsure about this new material, however, this week we have been experimenting
much more with the clay. When the children first started to touch and feel the
clay, many were surprised at how it felt in their hands. This is what they
said:
Sebastien
Ha. – It feels squishy and smooth.
Rory
– It’s like bread. It feels like … good.
Andrew
– It’s sticky!
Lexie
– It’s not sticky.
Angus
– Good!
We
have also started to make our Christmas presents for our families. We don’t
want to give too much away, as we want it to be a surprise, but we have loved
making and decorating them for our Mums and Dads.
Have a lovely weekend.
Maddie and Cris
