Cooper

Dear Cooper Families and Friends,

Welcome to the beginning of a new year and I take this opportunity to wish everyone a safe, happy and healthy 2017.  I look forward to seeing the children’s development through their own personal learning journey.  It’s so nice to see the children back at our ELC and being involved in activities and enjoying themselves.

This week we explored many different indoor and outdoor activities. We enjoyed finger painting, face painting and the children used playdough to make cup cake and birthday cake. The children were totally interested in playing in our camp were heard chatting and making lots of giggles.  The Cooper children were able to enjoy the beautiful weather by participating in outdoor activities such as playing in the sandpit and slide, building blocks and climbing frames.

We have also been building our fairy garden which we made with fences and by creatively using natural materials for our project.  The children have been very good to patiently take turns to do the plantings.  Some of the things they did, in their own words:
·         I put some water into the plants and plants need soils - Sterling
·         The fairy garden needs a door for house and I put the stuffs in - Lotti
·         We need soils, plants, rock - Isaac B
·         Water for plants and planting seeds - Brian
And before I signoff this week’s update, I also like to welcome our fantastic new educator Mr Christopher Richards to our Cooper room team.  Feel free to say “Hi” to Christopher when you see him.
