Chapple

Dear Families

After the excitement of Big Boys Breakfast, we have been working hard on our sunset pictures for the artsPACes exhibition which takes place on Wednesday 17th September 2014 5.45- 8PM. Our beautiful “Sunset over the city” creations will be on display in the Chapel if you want to see them. We have used our construction blocks to make our own city landscapes and have developed our numeracy skills by using tape measures to see how big they were.

Kai asked an interesting question.

Kai: “How is it that the Sun shines in some countries, but at the same time at PAC it is dark?”

We have used our big globe to try and answer it.

Our glitter lanterns are beginning to take shape and we have been using the light table to make our own straw construction. We have also started to make our blossom letters for the tree as well.

We have continued to practise for Sports Day on the 25th September with Mr Weatherald helping us with our health hustle.

From the beginning of Term 4 we will start to visit the Reception classes in the Prep School. We will have an initial half an hour visit for the first few weeks. This will start on the first Wednesday of Week 1, rotating through the days over the next few weeks to make sure everyone has an opportunity to visit. Longer more formal visits will take place later in the term.
