Langley Room

What an eventful last week of holidays we have had!
On Tuesday we had lots of fun practising our running, jumping, throwing and ball skills
on the tennis courts at the big school.
On Wednesday we enjoyed sharing some stories the children bought in from home and having a picnic on the mat with our teddies.
Thursday was a highlight for lots of children... CIRCUS DAY!
We had a circus canopy set up with balloons and streamers in the room. Miss Kerry found us some rainbow clown wigs and some of us put them on and had our faces painted as happy and sad clowns. We looked very funny.
Miss Gray helped us learn some balancing skills with the little bean bags on top of our heads. We practiced walking along a straight line with our arms out so we wouldn’t wobble.
We watched a circus DVD and saw the children on it perform some very clever tricks like juggling, ribbon dancing and tight rope walking. We also made our own juggling balls in the afternoon ,they were squishy and filled with rice and fun to toss around.
On Friday we made the most delicious guacamole. We enjoyed helping to mix the ingredients and then tasted it on corn chips! Some of us were even brave enough to taste the lemons.

We have had lots of fun these holidays and would like to thanks Miss Gray and Miss Hayley for all their help!

We would also like to welcome Miss Jess back next week !

Have a good weekend!
