Mead Room

This week the children have welcomed some silkworms to the classroom. We have had them out for the children to observe and discussions have been most interesting!
Mrs Cooper said “Silkworms only eat mulberry leaves.”
Raphael shared “ I can see one silkworm having a sleep.”
James S.  reflected “I can see some silkworms eating.”
Sebastian observed” They’re growing!”
Raphael continued “They’re black!”
Eden said “One’s having another sleep.”
Jacob noticed “That one’s crawled up.”
William shared “He was crawling into a little ball.”
Lucas observed “They’re eating the leaves.”
Andre asked “I’d like to hold one.”
Eden giggled “He tickled my finger.. I tickled the worms too…”
Raphael noticed “They have little eyes and little noses!”
We are really looking forward to watching how they change and grow as they eat and eat and eat!
