Wow! What a week we have had
in the Cooper Room!
The children have engaged in ongoing experiences such as
moulding clay, exploring our dinosaur park, and constructing comprehensive
creations with the Mobilo. As well as this, each day has provided the children
with unique experiences such as experimenting with sensory clouds, designing
fossils, and toasting marshmallows around the camp fire.
Here are a few quick examples
of some of the learning that has taken place this week…
‘Make sure you’re being super careful Mr Richards’ cautioned Lotti, as Mr Richards placed extra kindling on the campfire. In doing this, Lotti displayed her ability to re-call and reinforce previously learnt expectations.
‘When I put the water on it, it gets all squishy.’ said Seb B, as he used water to loosen up his lump of clay. As Seb B did this, he demonstrated his emerging understanding of cause and effect.
‘Oh no! The plane! It’s
stuck! In the clouds!’ exclaimed Aaron, as he flew his toy plane through
the fluffy sensory tray. It was great to see Aaron communicating with his peers
in a clear and confident manner.
As well as participating in these exciting experiences, we have also continued our progress in the whole class recycling challenge. We are thrilled to announce that as of this week, we have officially recycled over 100 pieces of cardboard, paper, plastic, and glass. In celebration of this monumental occasion, we will be planting a tree in our yard…
Stay tuned for more information and photos!
Thanks again for your time, and we look forward to seeing you all next week.
