There
can be no doubt what the sound of the week has been. S has certainly been
sounding out around the Chapple Class.
The children have really enjoyed the catchy tune of “The snake is in the grass.” They even took turns to perform the song to each other.
The children had great fun as sound detectives, searching out those S sounds.
Skyscraper
cities have been built, painted and set against spectacular sunsets.
Show
and Tell has brought in some wonderful S items.
Paige brought in some beautiful sunflowers and it enabled us to do some observational painting. We then got some seeds and planted our own. Hopefully they will grow.
Next
week is A - look out for those ants on your arm causing you alarm!
This
has been the first official week with our Seesaw trial and it has proved very
rewarding for our staff to actively share your children’s learning in real
time. It is perhaps the generation that our children are growing up in that
they are always say “Take a picture and send it to mum.”
Now we have been able to do and it and the children are so excited. It has also meant that the children are perhaps trying things they would not have previously done, so they can share their experience.
It you still want to be included and no longer have your activation sheet, please email mcharlwood@staff.pac.edu.au. Also we welcome any feedback (to the same email) as the trial continues.
