Dear Langley family and friends,
We have had a great start to the holidays this week and have been
making the most of this beautiful weather. On Thursday we went on an adventure
and stumbled across the secret garden! In the garden we found some amazing
flowers and berries, climbed some stairs to get a different view, and after
went for a big run on the oval!
Phoenix: "We must find the secret. It's my mission to get up the
stairs!"
Teddy: "You can do it Jordan!"
Miss Brooke: "What colour flowers can you see?"
Mason: "Odange" (orange)
Teddy: "Strawberries, lots strawberries."
Phoenix: "Here's the secret spot, owls live in there. you can't see
them."
Leopold: "Let's have a race."
Phoenix: "My shadow is following me. It's right there. It needs to get
away!"
Eddie: "Wow!"
The children have become very responsible and aware when it comes
to our classroom pets, each day they are sure to remind us that they need to be
fed. The children really enjoy spending time by their tanks and holding them.
They have been showing more awareness for insects in the nature also, Alannah
and Abbie found a bee that was 'sleeping' they reminded everyone to be quiet
around it. Grace had a fly land on her arm - she watched it very carefully and
was sure to not move and scare it away! "Hello, little one." she said
in a quiet voice.
This week we say a very sad but very exciting farewell to Miss
Brooke and her baby bump. Wishing her all the best for what is to come! Next week we have
Miss Amy starting in the Langley Room - be sure to introduce yourself!
Enjoy your weekend,
