Clipsal 500

Dear Parents,
That time of year is quickly approaching again, it is time to start your engines and find a position on the starting grid! The Clipsal 500 motorsport festival will be held beside school from Thursday 17th March. We think this is a wonderful opportunity for the children to experience another facet of the vibrant Adelaide community and would like to take a trip to the track. The details are as follows:
Date: Thursday 17th March
Time: 9.30am to approximately 11.30am
Cost: Accompanying adults will be required to purchase reduced price tickets via the school website for $23 dollars before next Friday. (If you miss this deadline you must purchase a full price ticket at the gate on the morning)
Payment: Please go to http://www.pac.edu.au/ and click on event bookings and payment. Then go to PAC Clipsal 500 Excursion and follow the prompts
Itinerary:
We will enter the Dequetteville Gate and watch the 9.45am Fujitsu V8 Supercar series qualifying race. We will then walk up to the bridge over the track for a snack on the grass. We will wander through the display paddock and hope to see the roulette's performing above us.
Adult supervision:
We require helpers on the day to walk with us and share their knowledge and enthusiasm with the boys. Please note this excursion will only go ahead if we are able to ensure a strict child adult ration of 2:1. All adult helpers are required to complete a statutory Declaration with Mrs Dry (this includes parents who completed one in 2010) Due the nature of the hazards on this trip we require all parents helpers to be at the ELC by 9.00am for an information session with Mel Bishop to help ensure the safety of our students during the trip.
Students eligible:
Only Thursday students are eligible to join us on the trip to the track.
(not Langley children)
More information will be available on the permission slip that will go into lockers on Monday morning.
