Dear Families,
We have had a hot and
busy week exploring Chinese New Year, enjoying lots of water play outside in
the garden and measuring! We loved having Walter’s amazing giant sunflowers in
the classroom! The children have been really interested to paint them and
observe them.
Together we have done lots of measuring, thinking about different
arbitrary units we could use, such as our legs, our hands, blocks and arms to
see how tall our sunflowers were.
Then we were fortunate that Billy brought in a
giant python’s skin that we unrolled and we measured with this too! To finish
off the week we have been talking about love and what it means to us… there
will be special treasures coming home over the next few days for you so check
your child’s bag!
What is love?
Chloe: When people are nice to you
Oscar: Love is shiny
Paxton: Hugging and kissing
Lachlan B: Giving flowers
Ashton: When you can do anything
Edward: When my whole family cuddles me and I love it!
Jasmine: When my Mummy and Daddy kiss me
Have a cooler weekend!
Kind Regards,
Pip and Coney
