Dear
Families,
We have had a great start to our new Angwin class.
This week the children have been adjusting to new routines, exploring our room,
catching up with their friends and making new ones.
It has been so much fun sharing our treasure boxes
and finding out about each others’ holidays. Lots of memories have been shared
and it has been a great way for me to get to know more about each of the
children too. If you still need to send in a treasure box, please spend some
time with your child this weekend to create a special box together. Throughout
the year we will be having special weeks where the children can replenish their
boxes and share new items that can be added anytime. We are looking forward to
seeing the way this enriches our oral language programme and helps us make the
links between home and kindy richer and helps us understand the children more
and more.
Mrs Rocca has been working with the children to set
up a hatchery for the phasmids. The children are taking on special carer roles
as they help to keep the hatchery moist and watch it closely to look for any
signs of new life!
We are taking time to observe, water and learn from
the veggie patch… we have amazing sunflowers, pumpkins forming, cucumbers
flowering and even spinach which we have been feeding to the chickens. Today we
watched some bees come and collect nectar from the array of sunflowers. We have
been working as a team to pull out the long hose and take turns to water the
garden beds.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend!
Kind Regards,
Pip and Coney
