Hi Cooper families,
The Cooper room was full with
Easter festivities this week. In preparation for the Easter parade on Thursday,
we started to decorate our wonderful Easter themed hats. The children selected from
a variety of materials that they would use on their hats, some of the materials
were coloured paper, acrylic paint, patty pans, paper doily’s and aluminum foil.
The children were proud of their finished products, which looked wonderful!
We also were lucky enough to have
two lovely parents come in to do some special Easter experiences with the
Cooper room. Aston's mum Tali is a talented face painter and offered to come in
on Wednesday to paint an Easter themed picture on the children’s arms. They
looked fantastic and the children were parading around and showing their
friends all afternoon.
Sebastien's mum Lucie,
also came into the classroom to do an egg-speriment with the children. We
looked at how friction can change the look and feel of an egg white from clear
and gooey to white and fluffy. We used an electric mixer to create the friction
in the eggs to change its form. The children used touch and sight to explore
the changes that were happening to the egg white. We added sugar to the
mixture, scooped blobs onto a baking tray, sprinkled 100’s and 1000’s to the
top and baked it in the oven to make meringues. The children ate them as a
class for afternoon tea, they were delicious!
Happy 4th Birthday
to Sebastian H! We hope that you have a wonderful Birthday on Sunday.
Thank you for organizing cupcakes to share with your friends!
“I’m going to Oakbank and it
has the horses what are there and then they run really fast and and dogs go
there, my aunties dogs. I got a crane and we got it from a toy shop. There was
a forklift but I didn’t want a forklift I wanted a crane. We are going to sing
happy birthday to me! I get to wear a badge; I’ll wear number 4 like Lexie.” –

We hope that everyone has a
safe and relaxing long weekend.
