Dear Angwin Parents and Friends,
We have been having such a fun time in Angwin! It's been busy as always and our learning has
really been centered around the children's interests and what they enjoy doing.
We have also been drawing our self portraits and have discussed what it similar
and what is different about us. It's an interesting topic to explore with four
year olds. Their pictures are fantastic!
‘I have the same eyes as my sister. Actually, my eyes are the same
as Leon's because he has blue. And Louis, and Lucille and Aiden and Will.’

‘Rocky has blue eyes like me. And he was the same as he’s dad. And
he has frozen skin. He is the same as others and he looks like and he’s the
same as Sooky and his dad and his mum.’ Aiden
‘Some people have rainbow skin.’ Caitlyn
‘Some people have green skin like zombies.’ Angus
‘Um.. I have I don’t know my eyes are not blue because why I don’t
know. I don’t know what colour day is?’ Valentina ‘Your eyes are brown.’
Teacher. ‘Yes, day are brown. The same as some other people.’ Valentina

Valentina
We have had several highly
contagious viruses moving through our class. Please let us know if you’re child
is unwell. We have pregnant staff in the centre and need to be particularly mindful
of them, as the other children in our care. Can you please also make sure to
return our calls as soon as possible if we ring regarding your child.
It’s been great having Mrs
Rocca back with us. For the rest of the term Miss Faye, Mrs Rocca, Ms Wegener, Mrs Bishop
and Mrs Schmidt will be the staff in this room.
Thankyou to Uncle Moogy and his Ngarrindjeri
dancers for performing for us on Friday. We enjoyed hearing Uncle Moogy tell us
about collecting swan eggs and looking for berries. The children were able to
easily relate to the emu, whale and kangaroo dances and even had a try
themselves back at class.
Have a wonderful weekend!
