Dear Mattingley Families and Friends,
Wow! What a busy week we have had in our classroom. We started the week on Monday by celebrating our friend Aiden's birthday. He decided that he would like to have decorated biscuits to share with his friends. With the help from Miss Bowden the children worked together to mix up some fantastic green icing and set to work decorating their yummy treat. Afterwards, using a number four birthday candle, they all sang 'Happy birthday' to Aiden. The biscuits didn't last long after they had finished singing. It was a lovely celebration.
We have been working on our special surprises for Big Boys Breakfast. The children are all really looking forward to celebrating this fantastic event with the special men in their lives. If you haven't done so yet please remember to send in your RSVP's and questionnaires. We look forward to seeing as many of you as we can on the day.
Just a quick reminder that next week is 'Book Week' and to celebrate we are having a dress up day next Tuesday (19/08/14). We would like to encourage your child to dress up as their favorite character from a book. If they have a copy of the book it would be lovely if they brought it in to share with their friends. We will be having a parade in the Town Square at around 9.30am. If you child does not attend on this day but would like to be a part of the celebration please feel free to bring them along for the parade as long as there is an adult staying with them. We look forward to seeing all the fantastic characters the children think of.
Now what will the teachers dress up as.......??
Have a lovely weekend,
The Mattingley Team.
