Mead

Dear Mead Room families and friends,

How unbelievable that we are midway through 2014!

Term 2 has come to a close and we are excited to see how the next half of the year unfolds!

This week we used our detective skills to try and decipher what was happening to our eucalyptus leaves.  There were clues……

Clementine – there are some nibbles and tiny bits missing from these leaves.
We finally worked out there was a little caterpillar living in the foliage – he looked just like a stick!
Lily – he was hiding so he was safe.

We also celebrated Red Nose Day (Friday 27th June) and raised money to assist SIDS and Kids in providing vital services and programs to the Australian community.

We have been finishing up our unit of inquiry – Living creatures need homes.
Our discussions included why it is important to take care of  our environment.

Angus – You have to take care of the trees – birds wouldn't be safe if there were no trees
Harrison T – You take care of rivers for the ducks, you take care of trees for the birds and you take care of planet earth for…. all of us!

Take care of planet earth.
Have a great weekend.
