Mattingley Room

Dear Mattingley families and friends,

This week we have continued to explore our bodies through dramatic play in our Doctor/Hospital area. On Friday we were lucky enough to have one of our fantastic parents Chin Po, who is a Doctor come in to talk with the children about going to a Doctor's surgery and showed us some of the instruments that she uses to check our bodies when we are unwell.  The children really enjoyed her visit and the information she shared with them really sparked their discussions and their play in the dramatic play area.

Over the remainder of the term will we be focusing on our two PYP topics which are 'Celebrations' and 'Body and mind'. If you would like to come and visit our class to share your expertise or your celebrations with us we would love to have you and will make you feel very welcome. Please just let either myself or Coral know to arrange a time.

Just to let you know that we have managed to pick up an extra Chinese lesson on Thursday mornings between 9am-9.30am. The children have really been engaging in their lessons with Laoshi and are excited to learn new Chinese words.

Just a quick reminder that Monday is a public holiday and the centre will be closed. We will be back to business as usual on Tuesday.

We hope you all enjoy your long weekend.
