Dear Cooper
Families and Friends,
The hot weather
this week gave us the opportunity to partake in lots of water play. Many of the
children enjoyed running through the sprinkler in the mornings, even Miss
Sharon and Miss Ruggiero couldn't resist running through the
sprinkler. Some of the children also used water in the sandpit, mud
kitchen and large trough.
This week the
children have also had the opportunity to do some bubble paintings. Using
straws they blew into the paint jars until bubbles appeared at the top of
the jar. They then placed their piece of paper on top of the jar so the
paint bubbles would print onto the paper. They used an array of colours
and created some beautiful artwork. The children were really proud of their
efforts and enjoyed blowing lots of colourful bubbles.
Lucy - That so
big!
Eddie S. - Woah!
Eddie N. -
Bubble, bubble, bubble!
After we had played outside on Thursday morning
it was time
to escape the heat. The Mattingley class joined us for a
movie and the children enjoyed watching A Bug's Life. During the week we
have also been singing the Stretchy Lycra song. As the title suggests
we use a large piece of lycra and stretch it as well as bouncing
our hands and feet on and under the lycra. The children thoroughly enjoy this
and the room is always full of laughter.
We also
welcomed Aleah to the Cooper class on Thursday. The children were all very
friendly as they introduced themselves. It has been lovely to see
them help Aleah explore our fun learning environment.
Have a lovely
weekend,
Miss Sharon & Miss Ruggiero
