Dear Chapple families
and friends,
Happy New Year!
We hope that you all
had a fantastic break, it has been great sharing and discussing stories about
different aspects of our holidays and all the amazing presents Santa left under
the Christmas tree.
We started 2018 with a
big splash, having Water Day on Monday and venturing up to the Rainbow
playground on Tuesday and pumping plenty of water down the stream down to the
sandpit to make mud cakes and pies.
We have been very busy
manipulating thick strips of colourful paper to make links attempting to make
one long enough so that it can reach around the whole classroom wall.
Mr Oopy!!!
The children’s
excitement and joy says it all. What a grand entrance he made captivating the
children’s attention from the get go, entertaining them with his witty humour.
Popping bubbles of all sizes and watching the children’s expression of the
extremely large bubbles created such a vibrant atmosphere.
We danced and sang
with pom poms and even had Larissa from the Edgerley room singing on the
microphone for us as we did the ‘Hokey Pokey’. We did the Limbo and challenged
ourselves as the pole became lower and lower.
This was such a great
experience and so much fun for the children as well as the teachers.
What a great way to
enter our first week back at school!
We hope you have a
lovely weekend.
