Dear
Mattingley families and friends,
In
the first week of Term Two, the children have been exploring new interests in
the classroom. They set up their own little restaurant in the home corner with
plates, coffee cups, cutlery, food and menus. The children used their
imagination and communication through role play as they interacted and shared
with each other what they were eating or doing at their restaurant. It was
great to see the children interacting and forming new friendships through play.
I
chopped my bread in pieces – Didier
Chop,
chop. This is a burger – Phoebe
I’m
drinking coffee. There’s a cake on the list as well – Riani
I’m
cutting cheese - Ben
The
children had so much fun in P.E this week as it was their first day back in the
gym since Term One. They used their energy running through the obstacle course,
throwing and catching the coloured, bouncy balls and doing different stretches
and exercises.
Next
Thursday is our Princesses Tea Party. The children are very excited for this
special day with their mums as we have been talking about it in the classroom
and preparing something special to give to them. We hope to see you all there!
Missing Jumper
Hridhaan's brand new jumper has gone missing and he would really like it returned as the winter is setting in and its getting cold. Please could everyone have a good check of their jumpers at home to make sure that his hasn't made its way to your house. Thank you.
