Langley

Dear Langley Families and Friends,

What a busy week we have had!

This week the children thoroughly enjoyed exploring the slides and colour paddles on the light table. We discussed what colours we could see, created new colours by combining them and also looked at the images and animals that were hiding inside the slides. The children were fascinated when the images appeared as the light table was turned on.

We have also begun to explore different coloured leaves at our cutting table. The children have noticed that the leaves on the trees are changing with a number of children bringing the leaves in to show their educators and peers. Over the coming week we look forward to exploring the changing seasons and colour in more depth.

On Thursday we celebrated our Princesses Tea Party. Thank you to all of the Mums that came along and made the morning yet another memorable event. The children thoroughly enjoyed having their Mums in the classroom.  They took great pride in showing them around the Langley Room and in creating beautiful crowns for you all to wear. Please keep an eye out in the children’s portfolios as we will soon be adding their beautiful drawings of their Mums to it.

On Friday we said goodbye to Miss Sharon. The children made her a beautiful card which was presented to her at the end of the day. We thank Sharon for all that she has done for the Langley Class over the past term and look forward to seeing her around the ELC for the remainder of the year.

NOTES

We have begun placing all of your children’s hats in their school bags. As we will not require them until later this year we would really appreciate if you could keep them in a safe place at home in preparation for the warmer months.

We hope that you have a lovely weekend.

From
Miss Amelia, Miss Kathy, Miss Sharon, Miss Tayla and Miss Georgia.
