Hello Mead
families and friends,
We
would like to welcome all children and families to the Mead room. We hope that
you have all enjoyed your breaks and are as excited as we are for the year
ahead.
This
week has been full of excitement and curiosity as the children explored and
discovered their new environment. The children have continued building on
existing relationships with their peers as well as forming new positive bonds
with some new faces; ensuring that we all feel safe, secure and supported.
The
environments within the Mead room are set up to ensure that children are given
the opportunity to further their learning development with an array of
experiences to choose from.
On
Tuesday and Thursday we met our new Chinese teacher - Wenting; we sang ‘Twinkle Twinkle
Little Star’ in Chinese and learnt about Chinese New Year which we will be
celebrating next Monday 8th with a Lion Dance organised by our
International students from the Senior school.
On Friday, we ventured
to the Prep School gym to have our first P.E class with Mr Barton. The children
demonstrated such joy and enthusiasm while furthering their co-ordination and
movement skills.
We
have had the gardeners in our outside yard using diggers, laying down new grass
lawn and putting in plants; there has been such fascination and exploration
from the children. The
children have been mimicking the gardeners digging, using shovels and making
big holes.
We hope
you have a lovely weekend!
