Dear Wilkins and Langley families,
Happy New Year to you all, we hope you had a lovely holiday
break.
Our first week back has been full of laughter and lots of
storytelling of our exciting presents from Santa. Our children have also been enjoying our new
environment indoors and outdoors.
We have been extending our play from last term, with both
the classrooms creating still life paintings of the Langley classroom garden
with limited colours, fostering their hand and eye coordination.
We have also been enjoying the weather in the mornings with
our water and sand play. Some of the children have engaged in conversation with
educators about boats and the way they function whilst involved in play.
As the children have showed a high interest in play-doh, we have
involved them in making an orange bundle of play-doh. Both classes were
involved in the discussion of building rocket ships and counting from one to
five for blast off. Just a reminder of transitions with new children and children moving up, please bare with us and be patient as there may be a few tears.
We look forward to what the New Year has to bring and
watching our classes grow!
