Dear Angwin, Chapple and Eagerly families and friends
The last two weeks of the holidays have been fun packed for our
friends.
We have spent a lot of time going on adventures around our PAC
Campus especially the rainbow playground, science courtyard, RED centre,
boarding house garden and having races on the oval.
Outdoors, the children enjoyed engaging in water play, building
with loose parts and even doing cooking shows in the sandpit preparing
meatballs and spaghetti with special herbs. If only you could taste Gabby's and
Toby's cooking!
The children were also very keen on learning how to make paper
planes and spent a lot of time testing their work outdoors.
For cooking activities, we steamed some fresh sweet corn and
baked banana choc muffins sparked by our discussions during our meal times.
Indoors, the children showed their knacks on building amazing
structures with blocks and awesome creations with mobile, mekano and
duplo. It was pleasing to see the children displaying their creativity and
problem solving skills as they tackle discussions on sharing resources and
taking turns. Our afternoon Cosmic Kids Yoga sessions have been a great hit
too.
Last Thursday, as we gathered at the back oval to have races, the
children noticed piles of barks coming off the gum trees and decided to make a
camp fire. Off they went gathering barks and hunting for wild animals.
Together, the children shared their ideas on how to make fire and shared
stories about some of their camping trips.
We also said our goodbyes to our Angwin and Chapple friends and
wished them good luck in their new BIG adventure as Reception boys and girls.
We are looking forward to the start of the Term and have the rest
of our teachers back.
