Mead

Dear Mead Families,

Welcome back, I hope you all enjoyed a well-earned rest spent with family and friends, full of laughter and happiness.

The fun from the Christmas break has been a huge talking point, with many stories and thrilling information about presents from Santa to the celebration of a birthday. There was an abundance of fantastic excitement coming from all directions and I would love to see some photos, therefore please feel free to bringing one in to share with the class.

The weather this week really could not make its mind up, from hot and muggy to raining and thunderstorms, it was such an inconvenience as the children wanted to play outside. Thankfully there were moments where the we had the chance to be free and roam around the yard, playing in the water and kicking the footy. When we weren’t able to go outside we enjoyed our time in the class room, building amazing structures out of blocks like “a wall to keep Mrs Neville out”.

Mr Potato Head was another huge hit with the most outrageous outfits and funny faces, it was hilarious to see the children crack up laughing at what they had produced. Also I’m just letting you all know that if you are ever in need of a hairstylist there are some children who are very talented and will make your hairdressing experience very enjoyable, they are extremely professional!

During next week we will be having transition visits to the new class room to help the children become familiar with their new surroundings. Soon there are going to be some pretty big changes in your child’s life, and to support them in their development, we have started to focus on the different changes that have happened in their lives. Over the next couple of weeks we will be discussing how they have changed from a baby to pre-schooler, so please provide a picture of your child when they were a baby, and we can look at the changes that have happened.

Have a lovely weekend.

From Mrs Neville and Miss Kendall
