Dear Wilkins
families,
Christmas is near and
we are really getting into the Christmas spirit! On Wednesday we were very
lucky! We had Christmas music playing while eating lunch in our decorated
cafeteria. We also had a special visit from Santa Claus today. He came in and
read us a Christmas story and even gave us all a gift!
This week has been a
busy week filled with arts and crafts in our creative corner. The Wilkins room
has been sparkling with glitter since we started creating our pine cone
decorations. Our dramatic play area has been a busy space where the children
have demonstrated turn taking skills and communication which, are building
through their play.
It has been a hot
week, we have had group discussions about the weather and how it can suddenly
change. Through this we watched how quickly ice cubes can melt when we are
handling them in the water trough!
Just a few reminders
for next week. Please be sure to sunscreen your child before arriving at
School. Also, please pack spare clothes as we will be engaging in water and
sand play during the summer program (starting next week).
The summer program
for next week are in your child’s locker and also displayed on the Wilkins room
door so feel free to take a look to find out the exciting week we have ahead.
Enjoy your weekend
and we will see you all next week!
Thank you,
Wilkins Team
