Dear Edgerley
Families,
Monday
morning we headed off for the Red Centre when Angus found some “amazing foot
prints” on the oval. We investigated and saw the bird that made them on the
other side of the oval was an Ibis. We played some games in the squash courts
at the Red Centre. Later in the day we had some quiet time in the Library to
read some books.
It
doesn’t snow or does it at this time of year? We made some snow on Tuesday with
some shaving foam and baking soda. It felt cool like snow, but it was missing
one thing, snow animals. The children
added the animals like lions, giraffes and hippopotamus.
Just
for fun we made the snow again on Thursday. Reindeer are around this time of
year and they need to find their way. To attract them to your house we made
some food for them while they help out on December 25th so don’t
forget to put on your lawn Christmas Eve. We went to the Red Centre again and
explored another stadium to play in.
Something
very special also happened, we had a visit from Officer Malcom of the SA Police
Force. He talked about how the police keeps us safe and answered the varied and
interesting questions from the children. Some included “Do you catch robbers
from the shops?”, “Why do you wear a wide hat?”, “Is the prison a long way away
to take the bad people” and “Do you ride a Police bike?” Officer Malcom gave
the children a treat by letting them put on his police hat before he left.
Thanks Officer Malcom.
Merry
Christmas to all, have a Happy New Year, stay safe and see you next year. Mr Ty,
Mrs Nacca, and Miss Adele.
