Not long until the big man
in the red suit comes to visits.
The year is coming to an
end and what a way to finish such a busy year. This week the children enjoyed
taking it easy, going for walks and playing outside. They also continued to get
into the festive spirit, dancing to Christmas carols and relaxing in front of a
couple of Christmas movies. On Tuesday the children enjoyed getting their
fingers and majority of their faces dirty when indulging in the yummy
chocolates that we melted and placed into the Christmas moulds. Most of the
children were thrilled that they actually had the chance to try the chocolate
as in the previous cooking experience the week before, I may have burnt the
short bread leaving some devastated little Mead friends. But I’m happy to say
that the chocolate melting was a huge success and I felt much better about my
cooking skills when Sterling said to me with great encouragement “Mrs Neville I
think all the children are happy you didn’t burn these ones.” Wednesday was our
dress up day and there were some pretty cool outfits, from Spider woman to
Batman and I’m sure you can all imagine there was a lot of dramatic play going
on.
The rest of the week felt
like the days just rolled into each other and time got away from us, it might
have had something to do with all the fun were having, with many spontaneous
events and experiences to finish off an amazing year.
Have a very Merry
Christmas and a safe New Years and I will see you all next year.
From Mrs Neville
and Miss Kendall
