Dear Chapple
families and friends,
Wishing you all a
warm welcome back, we hope you had an enjoyable new years and Christmas.
We have had another busy and fun week in the Chapple room ranging from science
experiments to water play. On Monday we showed a high interest in colours, this
lead to the creation of a beautiful painting that we called ‘colourful
raindrops.’ Our interest in creating art was furthered when we found a dragon
fly, we decided to use it for some still life drawing whilst engaging in
discussion about dragon flies and insects.
As mentioned earlier we experimented with some science activities. We were
curious learners to see what would happen to our experiments, we were very
excited when we saw our volcano erupt!
Throughout the week we also enjoyed some
water play, visits to the red centre, plays on the big oval and some Chinese
lessons. As Friday was rainy we decided to end the week with a relaxing movie
joined with the Edgerley and Angwin class.
On Tuesday the
17th of January, we will be having a wet and wild day so please bring bathers
if possible!
Thanks,
Lucy-Anne Perkins.
