Chapple Room

Dear Chapple Room Parents and Friends,
It has been an exciting week this week with the introduction of Raph the frog and his little tadpole brother. Izabella brought them in to share with us, until the frog loses its tale. We had a great time observing them both. We also drew pictures of them and discussed the changes we might see over the coming days.
‘It’s body looks like a fish. It’s got a tail.’ Izabella
‘I wander why the big tadpole isn’t moving?’ Sebastian
‘That’s not a big tadpole. It’s a frog.’ Raphael
‘Do you know frogs do magic tricks? They jump away!’ Christian
‘The frogs tail goes back up into its body.’ Izabella
When the frog mysteriously disappeared over night, the children came up with some interesting ideas for where it might be.
‘Maybe someone killed it.’ James W
‘Maybe someone took it home.’ Izabella
‘Maybe someone took it home and ate it.’ Asterios
‘Maybe someone took it out and stepped on it.’ James W
‘I miss Raph.’ Marcus
‘Maybe someone put their hands in and grabbed the frog and took it out and stepped on it.’ James W
‘Maybe somebody grabbeded the frog.’ Leo
‘Do you know maybe the frog……um.’ Andre
‘Maybe it’s hiding. Maybe it’s hiding in a good spot.’ Luc
‘Maybe a person, before any of the teachers were here, who it wasn’t their class, and looked and saw something that they really liked and took Izabella’s frog.’ Asterios
‘Maybe someone took it and they put it in the deep, deep water at the beach.’ Luc
‘Maybe someone naughty came into the classroom and took it away and a shark ate it.’ James W
‘Maybe someone accidently took it to their home.’ Hugo
‘My mum didn’t take the frog home.’ Ethan
‘Maybe he jumped out to where the food is.’ Seb M
Perhaps the frog has run off with the three blue marbles that are missing from the marble run? We look forward to their safe return soon! Have a wonderful break over the holidays. We are looking forward to our Unit of Inquiry next term, Paddock to Plate.
