“The earlier our kids learn languages and the more languages they
learn the better. Studies have shown that children who learn languages from an
early age have better test scores generally, have better and more advanced
reading skills, enjoy greater confidence, are more likely to go on to higher
education, have a broader view of the world and have a richer vocabulary in
their native tongue.
Australian research shows that exposure to as
little as one hour per week of a second language in the earliest years of
primary school advances the age of reading readiness in English.”
