Dear Wilkins
families and friends,
What a wonderful
first week of holidays we have had!
We have been busy
having conversations about what our families like to do over Christmas and all
the special yummy food we get to eat! We have been busy creating all kinds of
Christmas decorations to decorate our classroom with. Following on from this we
have been creating our very own wrapping paper with acrylic paint and paper!
What a great experience this was.
During the term
we have been caring for our fruit and vegetable garden. This week the children
observed that our tomatoes had changed colours! We were finally able to pick
and enjoy eating our fresh produce!
This experience
enables the children to learn basic sustainiblity within the foods they are
eating in their diets. We look forward to seeing what else is to
grow!
Liam - "Day
turn yellow now!"
Angus Z - "I
like tomato!"
Aria -
"They're yum Miss Courtenay, I want more!"
Also a friendly
reminder that the 22nd is a CASUAL/CHRISTMAS
dress day!
Be creative with
what you dress your child/children in!
We hope you all
have a lovely weekend.
We look forward
to seeing you all next week for the last week of the year!!
Ellen, Courtenay
and Melissa
