Dear Chapple & Edgerley Families and Friends,
This week on a walk around the school, we happened upon the
boarders vegetable patch and thought we'd pick some of the produce! The
children had a wonderful time picking and eating the strawberries that hid
under the foliage! We also picked some tomatoes and pulled some carrots which
we took back to the classroom to wash and try! They were delicious!
We were also spoilt with some hot weather for a water day. The
children had a ball running under the sprinklers and throwing water balloons!
An afternoon of baking some yummy treats on Thursday was
delightful! In groups we made vanilla cupcakes and jam drops. The children also
made a funny face biscuit each! We shared and enjoyed our goodies together at
afternoon tea!
As we are expecting another scorcher on Monday, please bring along
your bathers and a towel for another water day! We will also be having a BBQ
next Friday, which coincidentally is Miss Gray's last day before she leaves us to head to the UK for a year of teaching. We will miss her very much.
Have a great weekend!
