Dear Angwin families and friends,
This week we celebrated Sujay's 5th birthday with cupcakes and
some chocolates to take home.
We wished him the best especially for his new adventures as a
Reception boy.
Anthony's gardening with his dad Dom sparked new interest in the
classroom as the children shared about their gardens at home.
This led us to visit the Boarders' garden to find which plants
grow (or die) at this time of the year.
The children documented their findings by taking photos of
plants and writing their names. We also took some samples to continue
our research.
Next week we will get our raised bed gardens ready and plant some
new season vegetables. We are also collecting some succulents so if you have
some cuttings please bring them for us.
The children have been so interested in Star Wars and have been
sharing their ideas through art, craft and construction. Of course the Death
Star is up there on their list.
Our current favourite game is Tactilo, a game that allows our
sense of touch and brain together to find matching pieces just by touching
them. Apparently looking is cheating so you can't look!
We have been chatting about our holidays too. If you bring some
photos of your holidays or make a poster with it, we would love to display them
in the classroom as well.
Please take note of the following days and activities
Monday- Wet and Wild Water Day. Please bring bathers, towels and
spare clothes.
Tuesday: DANCIFY...all you need are your dancing feet and groovy
bodies
Wednesday: Gardening
Thursday: Classroom Cinema....we can smell the popcorn already
Friday: BBQ galore
Have a nice weekend
Coney and Faye
