Dear Mead Room
families,
Welcome back to those who have been fortunate
enough to enjoy some holiday time with family and friends and it looks as
though lots of fun and exploration was had by all who attended the ELC for the
past two weeks too! This week we have
plunged headlong into ‘Celebration’ investigations. Clementine celebrated her 4th
birthday at the end of September and Christian celebrated a poolside
achievement with us –
Clementine
– I had a party at another place. Not in a park, not in a house, not on a train
(shades of Dr Seuss…), a gymnastics party!
Christian – I don’t use floaties and I swim with the board!
Angus celebrated a pool related achievement too;
Angus
– I can swim across the pool! I couldn’t do it but
now I can.
We are revisiting our ideas of celebrations, what
they might be, what they might look like, who might attend.
On Thursday 16th October we had a dance
incursion, brought to us by Heidi from Dancify.
The aim is for children to have
the opportunity to engage in fun and captivating dance lessons that support the
development of flexibility, fitness, fundamental movement and body awareness. I think we achieved our aim! Over the next two weeks we will have two more
dance lessons; Tuesday 21st @ 10.30am and Wednesday 29th @ 10.30am.
Lastly, could you please have a look at the ELC
clothing you have at home. We seem to
have had a spate of clothing go missing; rugby jumpers, hats and polo tops, and
as they all look the same we wondered if you could just check the name on the clothing
corresponds with your child! In turn we
will triple check the clothes here at
the ELC. Thankyou so much!
Have a brilliant weekend.
Melissa and Renee.
