Dear Mead Families
Week
one of term three holidays was filled with lots of exciting experiences, all
the Mead children had a fabulous time playing and exploring in the classroom.
The tools in the construction site were a huge hit as most of the children had
a role to play while the construction site was in progress. The children also
enjoyed experiencing the pit full of gooey slime, collecting the treasure from
its bottom then hiding the treasure again for someone else to find.
During
our morning meetings we read a book called “The Tiny Seed” by Eric Carle, this
lead to an amazing conversation about the different seasons especially the
season of spring.
Lachlan- the flowers grow on the
trees.
Christian- grass grows.
Finn- the flowers grow and then
the sun helps it grow.
Lily- you can pull the apples off
the tree.
Doane- water makes the grass grow
Annabel- the flowers grow in spring
and the leaves are on the trees.
William- big trees grow.
Steven- water comes down from cloud
to flower.
To
follow on form our morning meeting conversation we provided a range of art
experiences for the children to explore such as, printing blossom trees using
the bottom of a soft drink bottle and juicy red apples to hang in the Mead room
tree.
Thankyou
to all the Mead children for a fantastic week.

Mrs Neville and Miss Adele
