This week the Edgerley children have been working on a number of projects. After observing how fruit and vegetables change colour to tell us about their readiness ,we are now interested to discover what happens “after rotten”. Unfortunately our experiment was getting a bit smelly so we have placed it in a plastic box to continue our observations (if you look closely you will see some of it has already begun to turn white!) We also celebrated Jack and Soren’s birthdays by making cup cakes with their mums using the big mixers. That was lots of fun and we created a rainbow of cupcakes in lots of different colours. We also retold the story of the colour wheel island together on the mat this week (and got paint everywhere!) The children enjoyed the opportunity to be the teacher for a change and manipulate the props for the story while friends recounted the plot.
We have a busy week ahead of us next week with Grandies Day, more birthdays, health checks and the beginning of our preparation for the celebration of Easter. Phew!
Kind regards
Mel, Sinead, Pip and Amelia
