Langley
What busy workers we have had in the Langley room this week! The children have been very keen to dress up in the builder’s costumes and have busied themselves fixing the playground and building all sorts of imaginary constructions using a range of different tools, complete with sound effects! Thank you to all the Dads who were able to join us for the Big Boys Breakfast on Thursday, it was lovely to spend some time with you and we were pleased to share our special songs with you even if we didn’t want to leave you afterwards! If you were unable to attend, can we please ask that you still return your Father’s Day surveys to be placed in your child’s portfolio along with their portraits.
Kind regards,Jess, Adele, Kerry and Jennifer
Mead
Dear Mead Room Parents,
It has been another busy week with lots of activities and many of them revolving around preparation for the Big Boys Breakfast which was held bright and early this morning. The children have done a wonderful job drawing their dads, telling us why their dads are so special to them, making their Father's Day gifts and singing beautifully on stage at the breakfast. Have a fantastic Father’s Day on Sunday Mead dads and keep up the great jobs you are doing - you mean a lot to your children.
Best Wishes,
Emma and Susan
Cooper
We were all up bright and early for the Big Boys Breakfast on Thursday morning! It was great to have so many Dads and excited Cooper children join us for a yummy cooked breakfast and a little concert. The children were delighted to give their Dads the special presents we have been working on this week and to show them the special blue Dad pictures the children had created. The children sang Tiny Tim the Turtle (one of our favourites!) and the Chinese Family song beautifully and very confidently up on the stage. Thank you to all the Dads who have returned their Father's Day surveys - and if you haven't yet, there is still time, we would like to put them in your children's portfolios. We hope all our Cooper Dads have a fantastic day on Sunday!
Kind regards, Ali and Susan

Chapple
Chapple Room discovered our address in the Universe. It is:
ELC, PAC, Adelaide, Australia, Southern Hemisphere, Earth, our Solar System, Solar Neighbourhood, Orion’s Arm, Milky Way, local galaxies, Virgo Super Cluster, the Universe.
Wow – what a mouthful! We are learning so much about what is in our Solar System. We’re imagining we’re going to Space so we’re turning our classroom into Space! It’s so exciting. Some of us have been studying moon dust and moon rocks, looking for signs of life, while others of us have been replicating the planets to make our own Solar System.
We’ve also become interested in magnets after learning about gravity and force.
“You can’t see the strength that a magnet has,” stated Max.
“Magnets are quite sticky things, but it’s not sticky like honey,” explained Sam W.
Tyler told us, “You can’t see the force, but there’s force. Force means it can stick together and pull.”
Kind regards,
Kate and Juliana
Edgerley
This week in Edgerley we explored the wonderful world of reflection. We enjoyed experimenting with mirrors and the overhead projector and looked around our classroom to find other objects that might make a reflection. CD’s worked really well. Now we are thinking about what is the same about mirrors and CDs that let them make reflections. Do you think you know the answer? Our boys think that perhaps they “are both glassy”! Hmmmmm, maybe? We will continue to explore reflection next week as we add to our reflective orbs for artsPACes.
