Dear Wilkins friends and family,
To all the beautiful mum's that were able to make it to this
year's Princesses Tea Party we hope you had a wonderful time and thank you to
those who kindly donated to the Breast Cancer Foundation. It was wonderful to
see the children spoiling you all, and we are sure those who had
their nails painted by our Wilkins friends have never had them look
better!!!
This week the weather has limited us to utilising our classroom
and other indoor areas, especially the workshop. We have been working on our
fine and gross motor skills by using scissors, threading beads, stacking pegs
and sorting different sized pompoms. The children have worked together to
create 'castles'
made from blocks (Isla and Billy), train lines for us to escape from 'monsters' (Xavier and
Samuel) and 'getaway
cars' (Tom and GiGi) using hoops. It has been wonderful
watching the dramatic play scenarios this week as it shows signs
of the children building strong relationships by interacting with one
another to share their vivid imaginations.
Finally we also celebrated Stirling's 3rd birthday. We named our class pet geckos. We thought long
and hard about what to name our special friends and came up with..... Gusto and
Garry!!!
Have a lovely weekend,
Mrs Jess, Mrs Nicole, Miss Georgia, Miss Ellen and Miss Kim
