The weeks are flying by this term! It must mean that we are very
busy. Our Princesses Tea Party was a fantastic morning. Thank you to the mums that
made it on Monday, it was a very special event for the children, as I’m sure it
was for you too.
On Tuesday we went
for a walk the secret garden located in the senior school. The children had the
opportunity to explore the very leafy new environment. We each chose a leaf to
bring back to the ELC to have a closer look. We had a wide variety of coloured
leaves, such as brown, red, yellow, pink, combination of red and green, orange
and green. We placed the leaves in a table and according to their colour and
counted how many leaves we had in each column.
Thank you to the
families that brought in boxes for the Cooper room. Boxes are a versatile
resource and the children have transformed them into some amazing and
imaginative creations. It is great to see their vision of what they would like
to make come to life and to talk about it with the children through the process
of construction. The children have been sharing their constructions with the class
and explaining what they had created and how it was used. There have been a
range of items created such as a machine that goes in the water to find hurt
animals when it’s foggy, to a beautifully and carefully decorated jewellery box
for special treasures. It is lovely seeing the children’s vision of what they
wanted to create and to see it take form.
We hope you have a
lovely weekend.
Love,
Miss Gilbert and Miss C
