Wilkins

Dear Wilkins families,
What another busy week we have had. We have particularly enjoyed reading nursery stories and role playing our own interpretations of the stories using puppets.

We have been sharing our own ideas around music by experimenting with different sounds and rhythms using the musical instruments! Speaking of music, we have also been very busy practising our singing and getting into the Christmas spirit ready for our Nativity concert on the 21st of November (not far away!)
Today we enjoyed making fruit smoothie ice-creams, we used banana, strawberries and yoghurt. The children were very excited to see the fruits being mixed in the blender and see the solids turn into liquids. We asked the children what other fruits they would like to put into the blender to make smoothies.

“Watermelon and rockmelon” – Leo

“Strawberry, I like strawberry” – Charlie B

“Carrots would be yummy” – Scarlet

“Put strawberries” – Kartik

“I want watermelon” – Benjamin G
Of course, as much as we loved making them, we really loved eating them! We will explore this further next week. If you have any fruit trees, feel free to bring it in for us to share.
Have a lovely weekend,

Amy, Karla and Jess

Note - Through our water play and drying of clothes, we are missing a couple of clothing items from children in the class. Can we please ask everyone to check their children's uniforms and hats to make sure that they only have their own and please return any that aren't yours. Thanks.
