Mead Room

Dear Parents and Friends,

In all our preparations for the Nativity next Thursday we have shared many versions of the true story of Christmas. The children have done so well with our practices in the town square and to learn the songs in readiness for the big day. We are all very excited to be wearing our pjs up on the big stage!

We had a priceless moment or two in the Mead Room this week in our home corner showing us how much our children do know about the Nativity story….

Angus – Jada’s got a baby in her tummy!
Jada – Look! (laughs)
Angus – Hide the hair. We don’t want them to know there’s a baby in there. (Angus does Jada’s top button up to hide the dolls hair)
Jada – Put the manger in there so the baby can go in there.
Jacob – I’ll get it. (While getting the manger Angus and Jacob get the Nativity books as well)
Angus - We’re going to read the books to the baby.
Jada – The baby’s coming out! Quick get the blanket ready.
Angus – Ok I’ll get it ready….
(Jacob watches on as Jada and Angus fumble a little getting the doll out from under her top)
Jada - Tuck his bottom in (Angus is trying to wrap the baby in the blanket)
Angus – There, he’s all in.
Jacob – Angus you read the small ones and I’ll read the big ones.
(Angus opens a small book and begins to ‘read’)
Angus – Ok. Once upon a time, there was a Mary, who wanted to find some treasure, but she had a baby….

We are looking forward to sharing our special performance with you all on Thursday 11am Anzac Hall!

Warmest Wishes,
Emma, Pip, Sarah and Heidi
