Edgerley Room

Dear Edgerley Families and Friends,
Although the weather this week has not been very kind to us, it didn't stop us from having lots of fun to kick off the holidays.
The week saw us witnessing our Monarch butterfly friend 'Nicey' come out of its chrysalis. (The children will quickly correct you if you say its a cocoon !)
"It's coming out!" Harry A yelled excitedly.
"That is so cool to see!" Jackson added.
"It's gonna be a boy!" Oliver commented.
"nope! It's gonna be a girl!" Gabby disagreed.
"Quiet! It's a boy!" Harry L insisted.
It was  great for the children to go on a journey of change from a hungry caterpillar to a beautiful butterfly. We also confirmed that Nicey indeed was a boy butterfly as he had two distinct black dots on his wings. Setting him free was a bit difficult but we weren't sad because we saw in a video that Monarch butterflies travel with their families-hundreds and hundreds of them. Goodbye and Goodluck Nicey!!!

We also enjoyed building our own 'Great Wall of China' using our blocks! it was that big it went all over the whole Edgerley room.
The shop has been a very busy place with a shopkeeper, a shopper, a bagger and one that gives you money after you have shopped! Who wouldn't keep coming !

Thanks to Hugo's family for bringing us fresh eggs from their chickens at home which were very yummy to eat when we boiled them and the freshest we could get to add into our pancake mixture. We enjoyed it with mixed berries or/and maple syrup!
"This is the yummiest pancake in the whole  world!" Sabian expressed.
"Lovely, lovely pancakes!" Liam added with a smile.

Looking forward to next week already!
